Black Hawk on the Yard!!

On Thursday, September 19, 2019, a Blackhawk helicopter landed on campus between the Main Library and Armstrong Hall. It was all a part of “Lockheed Martin Day” at Tuskegee University. What do I call you?

For as far back as we can remember, our Tiger mascot has not had a name.  He has been called the “Tiger”, or “TU Tiger”, or “Golden Tiger”, or even “Hey You in the Suit”.  But now the wheels are turning to find our Tiger a name.  So, a naming contest was held that allowed students, faculty, staff, alumni, and fans to suggest possible names for our feisty golden mascot. A Tiger Who Roars

Morgan Sinclaire Screws, (2017-2018) 1st Attendant to Miss Tuskegee University, continues to define that one doesn’t always have to win the title, to make a difference. Over the past few weeks, we saw three different events Screws hosted for not only the campus, but also the Tuskegee community. The first event was movie night on Logan Hall Lawn entitled, “A ROARING Night at the Movies”, paid homage to old Tuskegee. Opportunity Begins with Education

        An event with a bold title took place on this past Wednesday night, September 27th. “Opportunity Begins with Education” was coordinated and sponsored by “Teach for America”, The Tuskegee Pre-Alumni Council, and the Gamma Phi chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. The purpose of the event was to prepare students for the career fair that was taking place the next day. NAACP Lends a Helping Hand

Volunteering brings people of diverse backgrounds together in order to enhance our lives and create humbling experiences. The Community Service Committee of Tuskegee’s Chapter of the NAACP dedicated a day to visit and embrace the heroic veterans of the armed services of Tuskegee, Alabama. On December 12, 2015, the committee visited the Central Alabama Veteran’s Health Care System of Tuskegee, Alabama.
