Black Hawk on the Yard!!

Lockheed Martin Blackhawk helicopter flown by the Alabama Army National GuardOn Thursday, September 19, 2019, a Blackhawk helicopter landed on campus between the Main Library and Armstrong Hall. It was all a part of “Lockheed Martin Day” at Tuskegee University.

Beverly Martin, a recruiter for Lockheed Martin said, “Lockheed Martin Day’ will allow Tuskegee University students to see the full scope of career opportunities with our company — not to mention gain a better understanding of the expectations companies like ours have for today’s college graduates.”  “This will be a fabulous opportunity for us to showcase Lockheed Martin technologies while attracting the next generation of professionals from such a well-respected university.”

Students were allowed to tour the UH-60M BLACK HAWK™ helicopter that landed on campus by the Alabama Army National Guard.  They took the time to discuss the copter’s features with the students.  Lockheed Martin representatives were on hand to discuss career opportunities with their company.  It was a wonderful opportunity for our business, computer sciences, and engineering students.

Many students took pictures inside of and around the helicopter.
