A Tiger Who Roars

Morgan Sinclaire Screws, (2017-2018) 1st Attendant to Miss Tuskegee University, continues to define that one doesn’t always have to win the title, to make a difference. Over the past few weeks, we saw three different events Screws hosted for not only the campus, but also the Tuskegee community. The first event was movie night on Logan Hall Lawn entitled, “A ROARING Night at the Movies”, paid homage to old Tuskegee. Students were invited to watch Sleepless starring Jamie Foxx and T.I.  Screws along with other Royal court members served free concessions for students to snack on during the showing. […]

Image via: Tumblr In a time within the realm of pop culture, where it seems as though the prime focus  is either who’s dating who’ and who is at odd with each other, a breath of exciting fresh air came along, especially within the African American community, when Yara Shididi of ABC’s Blackish, and the former First Daughter, Malia Obama, announced their decisions’ to attend Harvard University, most, if not all supporters assumed that due to the fact that Yara Shididi is an actress on such an apologetically empowering show to Black families, and that Malia Obama being the […]

Is Thanksgiving still a holiday?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/black-friday/0/black-friday-2016-best-deals/ Since the year 1863, Thanksgiving was a holiday feast enjoyed by many families across the United States. This day was when major retailers would have sales on items that were incredibly expensive to appease the pockets of their consumers. Surprisingly, Black Friday did not become a […]
