Tuskegee Enactus Wins Regional Competition

It’s the 2016 ENACTUS United States Regional Competition. This region covers schools all across the South, but only twenty teams out of the hundreds of schools will advance to the national competition in Missouri. Madea Goes to Grauation 2016

Taken by Tuskegee University May 7th marks the day of the Class of 2016 Commencement at Chappie James Arena in Tuskegee, AL. The crowd was packed full of parents and relatives for one of the most anticipated days of a college students life. The Class of 2016 produced 520 graduates. For all of the students who graduated, this was developing into a moment that they would remember for a lifetime. DID YOU KNOW?? The word “Tuskegee” means “warrior” in the Muscogee-Creek dialect. More than 70 percent of Black veterinarians in America today are Tuskegee University graduates. Tuskegee University’s band is the oldest HBCU marching band. The university is also the only college or university in the nation to ever be designated a National Historic Site by the U.S. Congress. Macon County originally included neighboring cities, Union Springs and Auburn. There were ten people in the first graduating class at Tuskegee on May 28, 1885.
